I just wanted to thank you for inviting me to

It makes me feel so good that the club has
kept going strong for all these years.
It was great to see all my friends (the older

Welcome
Susan Yayac heard about us from Shellie Blake, who quilted a
quilt she made and also through a class she took with Sally Rapp. Susan has been sewing since sixth grade and
made her first quilt about thirty years ago as a wedding gift for her
friend. She actually started “quilting”
a year ago by taking a class at Steve’s.
That’s all she needed to get the quilting bug! As a beginner, she is learning about and
experimenting with all types of quilt projects.
Susan also enjoys reading, yoga, learning, her family, gardening,
cooking, and being creative. She does
not work outside the home, but inside the home, takes care of her husband and
three children in Chester Springs where they reside. Two of her children are in college and the
youngest is a senior in high school.
With three children soon to be in college, she feels she will be
entering a whole new phase/stage of her life.

Snow Policy
In order to improve reliability (since
phone chains are notoriously un-reliable), our snow policy—as instituted last
year—is as follows:
We'll make a determination by
We'll e-mail that determination to
guild members at that time.
If you normally get notification
regarding newsletter availability, then you will get one of these e-mail
messages.
If you do not have e-mail, then you'll
simply identify a buddy who does have access to e-mail and call that
person to verify whether or not we'll be meeting
If your e-mail access is through your
work and you've been sent home early due to snow, then you'll identify a buddy
who has e-mail access at home to find out our meeting status.
We’ll also put notification of
storm-related determinations on our web site (if our web master is available to
do so at the time needed)
Hopefully our meeting nights will be
free of snowy complications, but it will be nice to have a clear-cut way of
determining our status in the event of inclement weather.

“Line from Lou”
I was soooo touched with the quilt made from
blocks contributed by so many of you.
It’s a treasure that will always have a place of honor in my home. It was an absolute pleasure serving as
president of this fine organization that’s full of so many truly wonderful
people. It is quilting that brings us
together, but it is friendship that’s binds us together. Thanks again for the opportunity to serve,
and for the precious keepsake to remind me of all my dear quilting friends.
With love, Lou
