VFHQ News – October 2007
Clips from Chris
Thinking back when I decided to help
coordinate our 20th anniversary gala...I was thinking...boy, 20 years, that’s a
long time...and then realized...lo and behold it is also my own 20th wedding
anniversary. That is when I had a true reality check....20 years. I
can really relate to our founders and original members. They have
worked very hard for the past 20 years to continue to keep
the love of quilting going and as we all know that is a lot of work.
Thank you so much for a job well done.
As for our celebration...I must
confess I truly am a kid a heart...myself along with our committee members
have had a great time planning our special dinner celebration for all
to enjoy !!! See you in October.

I have a friend who is the Director at
the Peter Wentz Farmstead (Rt. 363 and 73 in Worcester Twp.) and who is looking
for some hand-quilters to finish quilting a nine-patch quilt that has been on
their frame for 20 years. Yes, that's 20 years!!!!! As part of
their Special Activity Days, she would like to put a few of us in costume and
stage us around the quilt to finish it on Oct. 20. She said there’s very little left to do on
the quilt, and when done, we can work on our own quilting projects (a free
lunch will also be provided). If you’re
